He was pulled over by police in Forest Fields
A driver stated he had smoked cannabis every day for the last ten years and there was 'no point' providing a blood sample to police, magistrates heard. Mateusz Byc, 36, smelt of cannabis during his interactions with officers after a roadside drugs test, in Gregory Boulevard, Forest Fields, was postive.
Byc, whose care of mail address is in Breechglade, Birmingham, was taken into police custody where he failed to provide a sample of blood for evidential testing. He pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen, driving whilst on the phone and without a licence - relating to the same incident on October 22 last year.
Returning from Poland, where he is now living, to be sentenced at Nottingham Magistrates' Court, he was fined £384 on Friday for failing to provide a specimen, and £76 each in fines on the remaining two charges. A 12-month driving ban starts from November 12, when he was handed an interim ban.
