The car had been used in other crimes, police say
A 'nuisance' car has been taken off the roads in a residential area of Oldham. Police say they seized the vehicle with a loud customised exhaust yesterday afternoon after they discovered it had been used for crime.
The black Volkswagen Golf had been driving around the Glodwick area of the town causing a 'nuisance to the residents, police said. Further checks found the car had been used for other recorded crimes and was therefore seized by officers. A GMP Oldham spokesman said: "A black Volkswagen Golf with a loud customised exhaust has been driven around Glodwick causing a nuisance to local residents. Further checks found the vehicle had been used on crime. The vehicle has now been seized and off the road."
