Caroline Crouch's killer, Babis Anagnostopoulos, has reportedly shocked officers after he received ‘bags’ of letters from ‘fans’.
The killer husband of Caroline Crouch who suffocated her before staging a robbery is receiving ‘bags of love letters’ in prison, reports say.
Guards are reportedly ‘astounded’ at the number of ‘fans’ writing to Babis Anagnostopoulos, 34, after he was jailed for 27 years. The helicopter pilot murdered the 19-year-old before tying himself up and killing their dog Roxy to make it look like robbers carried out the attack in May 2021. He also left their baby daughter Lydia lying beside her mum’s dead body at their home in Attica, Greece.A guard at the high-security jail told‘They are written by women, Greek women, who say they are in love with him.
‘They believe he is innocent, that Caroline’s murder was premeditated and everything happened in the heat of the moment.’A state coroner said Caroline suffered ‘a long and agonising death’.After police analysed his smart watch it became clear he was the killer.He is trying to overturn the sentence by arguing there were ‘mitigating circumstances’ around the brutal murder.Caroline’s dad, David Crouch, from Liverpool, has said his priority is now raising Lydia.
