Aurora Canales was driving in a gray Toyota Sequoia near the 2500 block of Marsh Lane that afternoon when the driver of a red Chevrolet Camaro lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting the SUV, police said.Five of her eight children were in the Toyota — ages 21, 20, 9, 9 and 4 — and were injured, but not critically, authorities said. Another SUV traveling behind the Toyota drove into the crash, but its occupants were not injured.
Police said the Camaro’s driver, identified Thursday as 19-year-old Brayan de la Rosa, fled after the crash and has not been located.
