Four people suffered minor to moderate injury Thursday after a car’s driver lost control in a parking lot and plowed through a door into a busy grocery store, authorities said.
Alameda County Fire Department firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle collision at Trader Joe’s, 22224 Redwood Rd., at 3:45 p.m. and arrived with a full first-alarm complement within minutes to find several people suffering from injuries.
In a social-media post, the fire department shared an image of a gray Toyota Avalon four-door sedan inside the store as seen from behind a register, and said crews were “currently assessing the building for hazards and injured persons.”
