Kim Kardashian and other celebrities have been criticized for allegedly wasting water during the ongoing LA wildfires, sparking public outrage.

As the Los Angeles wildfires continue, several celebrities have sparked outrage for their alleged wasteful water practices. Famous figures like Kim Kardashian have faced criticism online for their perceived 'entitled' behavior after accusations of exceeding water allocations. This comes after water-saving measures were implemented in 2022, restricting residents to watering their gardens twice a week for a maximum of eight minutes.

However, some allege that celebrities have disregarded these rules, potentially wasting crucial water resources that could have aided firefighting efforts. Reality TV star Kim, who owns a $60 million property in The Oaks, a region near the fires' epicenter, previously received a hefty fine for excessive water consumption. In 2022, she was penalized for using 232,000 gallons more than her allotted amount. Other celebrities fined for water overuse include Sylvester Stallone and Kevin Hart. Despite Kim reportedly installing new water-saving measures after her fine, some continue to criticize her actions, along with those of other celebrities. A neighbor of Kim's told the Mail on Sunday, 'These celebrities have a sense of entitlement. Everyone was told to cut back on water precisely for this situation, to preserve it to fight fires. They carried on watering because they could afford the fines.' Amidst the controversy, Kim's sister, Khloe Kardashian, joined the ranks of high-profile celebrities criticizing LA politicians during the disaster. She labeled Mayor Bass a 'joke'. On Instagram, Khloe shared a clip of an interview where Gigi Graciette expressed her concerns, echoing Fire Chief Kirstin Crowley's sentiments. The Fire Chief had earlier criticized the city's leadership, admitting that it had failed those affected by the fires and hindered the LA Fire Department's effectiveness. Khloe expressed agreement, stating, 'I stand by YOU Chief Crowley!!!! You spoke the truth and you had tears in your eyes because I can tell you didn't even want to say that but it was THE TRUTH!!!! Thank you for being honest @losangelesfiredepartmnet Chief Crowley. Mayor Bass you are a joke!!!!' She followed with additional posts praising rescue services for their efforts. The death toll from the California wildfires has risen to 16, confirmed by local officials. The Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office announced over the weekend that the death toll from the six wildfires has increased, attributing all deaths to the two largest blazes - the Palisades and Eaton fires
