The Hoop's key man is in demand this summer with clubs across Europe considering a move.
Celtic have reportedly been told by Atletico Madrid that that WON'T hit the report £33million asking price for Matt O'Riley.
The La Liga heavyweights appear to have revived their interest in the 23-year-old after being knocked back by the Scottish Premiership champions. Atletico are "closely monitoring" the Denmark cap this summer with Diego Simeone keen on the star after he impressed during the Champions League clash with the Hoops' last season.
But the latest report from Spain appears to make it clear that the Madrid outfit won't be hitting the valuation. Fichajes claim that Atletico view the valuation as a "complication" for their summer pursuit and the the club have informed the Hoops' chiefs that they will not reach that figure. It is claimed that the club will go to €30million - but negotiations are "ongoing." However, it is not just from La Liga that the midfielder is attracting interest.
Newcastle United are said to be keen on taking him to the English Premier League. The Newcastle Chronicle note that the Magpies "were on the scouting list at Parkhead at the end of the season to look at the Celtic star". It is noted that Brendan Rodgers does not want to lose the midfielder but "interest in the player is increasing."
