Celtics Sign Justin Jackson, Jake Layman, Denzel Valentine - RealGM Wiretap
The Boston Celtics have signed Justin Jackson, Jake Layman and Denzel Valentine. All three are expected to have signed non-guaranteed, training camp contracts.
Jackson appeared in seven NBA games between the Celtics and Phoenix Suns last season. Jackson also played in 28 games for the Texas Legends of the G League. Jackson averaged 22.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists for the Legends. Layman spent the last three seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Massachusetts native averaged 2.4 points in 6.8 minutes per game last season. Layman also played for the Portland Trail Blazers for three seasons.
Valentine played in 24 NBA games with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Utah Jazz. The veteran wing also played in 12 games for the Maine Celtics of the G League. Valentine averaged 14.6 points, 10.3 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game in the G League.
