Visitors love the facilities but criticised the prices

Visitors to Center Parcs, which has a holiday village in Nottinghamshire and has its headquarters in New Ollerton, love the facilities but have criticised the prices according to a survey published by Which? today . The consumer champion released the findings of more than 2,200 stays at holiday parks across the UK.

TV stars Paddy and Christine McGuinness recently praised Sherwood Forest Center Parcs after their original planned holiday was cancelled at the last minute. The couple said they were supposed to be on a flight to Spain with their children but were instead forced to look elsewhere after realising that his daughter's passport had expired.

Budget brand Pontins - owned by Britannia, the hotel chain rated as the UK’s worst nine years in a row in Which? surveys - finished bottom, propping up the table after scoring just 59 per cent overall. One guest described it as a “dull, dingy campsite”, while others complained of cobwebs, musty smells, sticky furniture and stained mattresses.
