Blackpool's Central Library has been locked down by private security staff after protestors got inside the building to hurl abuse at a drag queen performance.
But during the show, members of the audience started to hurl abuse at founder Aida H Dee while videoing the performance.Only people who had registered for the event were allowed inside, with abuse being shouted outside the building prior to the show starting at 1pm. LancsLive was inside the library as the event was taking place and was locked inside along with those watching the performance. The rest of the library had also been closed for the show due to the threat over protests.
And last week, Rochdale Council postponed three shows by Aida H Dee following recent protests at libraries.
