Cereal has got a bad rap over the years.
We know, we know… eat muesli or a bit of bran. It’s almost the same… but not quite. And while it may be a healthier option, when you’re craving great taste, cereal just hits the spot. A seven to 10-year-old’s recommended maximum daily allowance of sugar is six cubes. This can be for food and drink together. But one serving of popular supermarket cereals can contain 12 grams of sugar, which is approximately 3 cubes. So if they go back for seconds that’s their daily allowance gone!
