The measures were confirmed by the government, with some parents and guardians eligible for multiple payments.
Parents and guardians are also expected to get a €100 Child Benefit additional lump sum payment per child. This will be paid in 2023, for each child for whom the Back to School Clothing and Footwear Allowance is paid. Children aged between 18 and 22 years must be returning to full-time second-level education in a recognised school or college in the autumn of 2023.
