But the ex-Blues star admits that Leinster are under 'maximum pressure' after coming so close so often in recent years
Ian Madigan claims that Leinster have mentally scarred Champions Cup final rivals Toulouse - but admits the Blues are under "maximum pressure" to get over the line this time.
Madigan believes that on the back of a play-offs run that took them past an under-rated Leicester Tigers side, holders La Rochelle and then "the UK's best team this year" Northampton, the Blues hold several advantages over Toulouse in what for many is a dream final between the competition's two most successful sides.
"This Toulouse team is real quality. So it’s not unthinkable that Leinster put out a fantastic performance and can still lose this game because of the sheer brilliance in this Toulouse team. Madigan is impressed by how Leinster have dealt implemented Jacques Nienaber's defensive system since his arrival after winning back to back World Cups with South Africa.
Their concern is that this Leinster defence isn't going to let their attack breathe - and the Leinster attack simply doesn't make the same mistakes that other teams make."Ian Madigan claims that Leinster can survive an Antoine Dupont masterclass but Toulouse won't do the same if Jamison Gibson-Park is on song.
