Social media videos have shown growing unrest in Shanghai as the city’s strict COVID-19 lockdown stretches into its third week – more than two years since the first case was detected in Wuhan.
Footage from the area reveals a city fraying, with riots over food and looting becoming more commonplace with supplies running low.Often, patients aren’t told when they are allowed to leave.
Residents in the city have started taking to their windows at night, howling in frustration at the strict lockdown they’re living through.
