To present the award, Charli XCX wore a skin-tight black dress with a cowl neck and thin straps. After presenting the award, one of the straps slipped off her shoulder and revealed her breast. Both Charli and the friend who was with her immediately started laughing.
Charli has always been one for honesty, both in her music and her personal life, even on social media. Inin 2019, Charli said that her fans are the type that let her be totally honest onstage. “[My fans] really care about me, and I really care about them,” she said. “We’re speaking the same language, and maybe nobody else gets that language, but we totally understand. I just feel my music is now a safe space for me to be really honest. I don’t feel afraid.
