Nottingham Forest have one remaining home match against Chelsea in their bid to secure Premier League survival - but the Blues may come with an injury boost
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is hopeful of being able to call upon the services of Christopher Nkunku and Levi Colwill this weekend, which would put them in line to feature against Nottingham Forest one week later.
Colwill, an academy product returning from a productive 2022/23 campaign with Brighton, has not been impacted as badly although has missed almost two months of action with a toe injury. "They were training today normally. We prepared for the game tomorrow, we were doing some set-pieces, tactical work and meetings," said the Argentine. "They are nearly but they are on the line, but they still have not crossed the line. Maybe for Sunday against West Ham, maybe they will be ready. We hope."
Nuno Espirito Santo's side sit one point above Luton Town in 18th, and two points above Burnley in 19th. They have away fixtures against already-relegated Sheffield United and Vincent Kompany's Clarets, though with the third-worst record on the road in the division, it could be on the City Ground faithful to boost their team to safety.
