Chelsea Flower Show opens next week bringing glitz and glamour to the world of gardening as royalty and celebrities alike head to south-west London
The London event, a key date in the summer social season, brings glitz and glamour to the gardening world as royalty and celebrities alike flock to thisBut expect to see a good sprinkling of famous faces among the hordes as actors Dame Judi Dench, Keeley Hawes, Imelda Staunton and comedians Tom Allen, Jennifer Saunders and husband Ade Edmondson are known to have visited in the past.
Saturday 25 May is the final day of the floral event with the show closing at 5.30pm and a sell-off of the display stock beginning at 4pm.RHS members can purchase them for Tuesday through to Saturday, non-members can buy them for Thursday through to Saturday.
The event is held in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea, home to the Chelsea Pensioners As well as the show gardens along Main Avenue, sanctuary and feature gardens will explore themes through horticulture, while the All About Plants area in the Floral Marquee will focus on planting.The King and Queen will tour a “No Adults Allowed” garden at the show designed by children, for children.
