Mason Mount announces he’s getting rid of his Twitter account CFC
and England midfielder has had his account since 2015 and been heavily active on social media platforms, much like many footballers his age.Since joining Twitter eight years ago, Mount has accumulated 1.8million followers on the app. Meanwhile he boasts 5.6million on his Instagram and 3.7million on TikTok.
But on Thursday, the Blues star decided to bring an end to his time on Elon Musk’s app, confirming the decision in a statement on his personal Twitter account. “Over the years I’ve thoroughly enjoyed connecting with you all on Twitter. Sadly, the platform is changing so I have decided to delete my account,” Mount wrote on Thursday.“You all can still connect with me on my other social media platforms. Take care, Mason.”
This season has been difficult for Chelsea players and fans alike, with the Blues languishing in 11th in the Premier League with no wins since March 11 and just one goal scored this month.that’s seen the Blues have four different managers, with the west London outfit most recently being knocked out of the Champions League 4-0 on aggregate by Real Madrid.
Meanwhile Mount – who won the Champions League just two years ago with the Blues – has made 35 appearances this season, scoring three goals and providing seven assists.Despite this, the England international has been consistently linked with a move away to Chelsea’s Premier League rivals over the course of the campaign, including toChelsea next face west London rivals Brentford on Wednesday, with Frank Lampard’s side currently 11 points off Europe and 12 off the relegation spots in 11th.
