Police said the dog aggressively ragged their head side to side and bit their neck.
The attack happened on Belvedere, in Balby, Doncaster, at 10.15am this morning A 10-year-old child is in hospital after they were bitten by an XL Bully dog. The child was attacked by the unregistered XL Bully this morning at 10.15am in Balby, Doncaster, South Yorkshire. The child is still in hospital with non-life threatening injuries and three people have been arrested. The dog was seized and is currently in police kennels.
The child has been left with serious injuries Two teenagers aged 13 and 15, have also been arrested on suspicion of allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control, and possession of a banned breed of dog. The pair have since been released from police custody. Chief Inspector Emma Cheney said: ‘This incident could have had a tragic ending and led to a fatality. ‘We continue to urge people to stop thinking “it won’t happen to me”.
