Police warned Stephen Pennington posed a 'real risk to children and women'
A convicted child rapist who was wanted by police has been arrested and recalled to prison after an urgent manhunt.
As they appealed for information on his whereabouts, officers previously said he posed 'a real risk to children and women'. Today , Lancashire Constabulary, who previously said he had links to Greater Manchester, said Pennington had been arrested this morning.READ MORE: Man charged after 76-year-old dies after crash
In a statement posted on social media this morning, Lancashire Police said: "You will remember that we posted a couple of days ago asking for your help to find a wanted man called Stephen Pennington and we are pleased to say that he has been arrested this morning .
