On Thursday evening William, who met Molly’s father Ian Russell in November 2019, said on Twitter “no parent should ever have to endure” what the family went through. Concluding it would not be “safe” to rule Molly’s cause of death as suicide, Mr Walker said the teenager “died from an act of self-harm while suffering depression and the negative effects of online content”.
