Paddy Harrington and Charlie Woods have memorable moments at the parent-child event
may have won 18 Major titles between them but they had one of their proudest days during the final round at the PNC Championship at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando.
First up Charlie Woods, son of Tiger hit a 7-iron from 175 yards on the par-3 fourth hole. A large gallery by the green began cheering wildly, to give the unassuming Charlie confirmation that his accurately hit approach had fallen in the cup. Television cameras confirmed it for him. Tiger hugged his son and pushed him away playfully as he said, “first one” to the cameras that surrounded him.
Woods snr told Charlie that he had to pay for drinks for everyone after a hole in one to which he replied, “I’m broke”!
