The right-hander agreed to a three-year, $63 million contract with the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, The Post’s Jon Heyman and Joel Sherman confirmed. The Mets acquired Bassitt, who turns 34 in February, from the Oakland Athletics before the 2022 season. He went 15-9 with a 3.42 ERA and 167 strikeouts in 181 ⅔ innings during the regular season.
In his final regular-season start, Bassitt allowed four runs in 2 ⅔ in the final loss of a Braves sweep in Atlanta, which cost the Mets the NL East. He then gave up three runs in four innings in a 6-0 loss to the Padres in the deciding game of the wild-card round.
