Six-time Olympic gold medallist Sir Chris Hoy has been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer and his wife Sarra is battling 'very active and aggressive' multiple sclerosis
Sir Chris Hoy has opened up about the heartbreaking moment his wife Sarra revealed she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis .
"I realised immediately it was something big as Sarra, always so strong in every situation, was beginning to crumble and struggling to get the words out. 'Do you remember that scan I went for?' she started through tear-filled eyes. "As with my diagnosis, she was the one to bring me back to the present, trying to reassure me, saying: 'Look at me, I'm fine right now, I'm here, I'm OK.' MS is a neurological condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, where the immune system attacks the protective sheath that covers nerve fibres in the body.
