It's not your imagination: Christmas retail decorations are up even earlier this year. And with them has come deals.
Retailers such as Walmart and Target are offering deals and price-matching offers earlier this year to keep up with shoppers feeling the squeeze from rising inflation, and to keep pace with Amazon.
The company is also expected to participate in Black Friday promotions, and Bath & Body Works President Julie Rosen said the company will continue hosting special events such as its Candle Day, which occurs every year in early December. Max Rhodes, CEO of Faire, an online marketplace used by small businesses, said he's seeing earlier ordering from merchants. The term"Christmas" was the most searched-for term on the site in mid-September, two weeks earlier than last year and eight weeks earlier than 2020, Rhodes said.
