The daughter of Aslan legend Christy Dignam has hit out at online trolls after claiming the singer and his former bandmates didn’t speak for the last seven months of his life. Kiera Dignam is helping to organise a tribute event in her father’s honour in Dublin’s Vicar Street next May. However, she told how she’s been targeted by online trolls with “disgusting lies” over Aslan not being included in the list of musicians invited to the concert.

The Crazy World hitmaker died in June following a 10-year battle with a rare form of blood cancer. Kiera Dignam is helping to organise a tribute event in her father’s honour in Dublin’s Vicar Street next May.
However, she told how she’s been targeted by online trolls with “disgusting lies” over Aslan not being included in the list of musicians invited to the concert. Band members Billy McGuinness, Joe Jewell and Alan Downey last week confirmed they won’t be involved in the event. In a statement on social media, Kiera insisted there was no truth to what she described as “ridiculous” comments which suggested they were snubbed because she was not allowed to step into her father’s shoes and front the ban
