Derry's reign as Ulster champions was ended by Donegal on Saturday night as Jim McGuinness's side scored four goals at Celtic Park
Derry's grip on the Ulster Championship was loosened by a determined Donegal side in Celtic Park on Saturday.
Jim McGuinness prevailed tactically over his managerial counterpart with Brendan McCole drafted in to mark Derry talisman Shane McGuigan, but it was Shaun Patton’s booming restarts that led to three of Donegal’s four goals.Harte made two changes before half-time, bringing in Gareth McKinless and Niall Toner for Padraig McGrogan and Niall Loughlin, both of whom were struggling with injury.
“Derry spectacularly got it wrong and I think certainly, Jim McGuinness came and wiped the floor with Mickey Harte tactically,” said Whelan.
