The mix-up occurred when diesel was inadvertently delivered into a petrol underground storage tank
Circle K has issued an apology to almost 90 customers who unknowingly put diesel put into their petrol cars last weekend.
Up to 87 customers were affected by the incident, mistakenly filling their petrol tanks with diesel between the hours of 2pm and 7pm.Circle K said the petrol pumps were immediately closed off once staff became aware of the issue. They continued: "Having reviewed CCTV and sales data, we know up to 87 customers may have been impacted by this issue.
"The issue at the site has since been resolved, with all pumps at the forecourt now operating normally."
