The Department of Education-Rizal announced the suspension of classes in all schools in the province starting Jan. 17, Monday, until Jan. 29, due to the spike in coronavirus disease cases.
The suspension covers all levels in all public schools in the entire province of Rizal, both online and virtual activities, “in consideration of the teachers and learners’ health and well-being due to the COVID-19 surge.” Private schools are not included in the class suspension order as the DepEd Region 4-A is leaving the discretion of suspending classes to the respective schools based on the consensus of the parents’ association of the private educational institution.
