Don't let this common accessory bring down your nice, clean bathroom this winter
A cleaning expert has revealed exactly how often we should be washing our bath mats - as a third of us admit to only cleaning them two times a year. With autumn in full swing, it's the perfect excuse for Brits to add some seasonal touches to their homes.
If not, bath mats could make an otherwise well-maintained bathroom rather unhygienic. Rikki explained: “Bathrooms are no longer just a place of functionality, they're a space people are paying more attention to when adding personal touches as they look to create their ideal sanctuary.
She explained: "I’d always say to base how frequently you clean an item like this on your specific household and usage. While once a week is recommended, if you live alone or in a quiet footfall household two weeks should be enough."
