Any non-urgent surgery that requires a hospital bed will be postponed until Jan. 14.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Clinic announced it is extending postponement of non-urgent surgeries. The hospital system said it is continuing to see a high volume of patients hospitalized with COVID-19.

"It is important to understand that our hospitals and emergency departments remain open to care for our community. Essential and urgent surgeries, as well as cancer, pediatric and transplantation surgeries will continue to be scheduled during this time period. We will continue to evaluate our scheduled surgical patients as the pandemic continues," the Clinic said in a statement.
