Oxfam offers thousands of pre-loved clothing and also new fashion that has never been worn
The clothing on offer at charity shops mainly consists of second-hand donations but not everything on sale at Oxfam, in particular, is pre-loved. Some items for sale are actually new and have never been worn. Others items stocked are ethically sourced, such as Fairtrade chocolate and handmade products.
An Oxfam worker, in the city centre shop, told the ECHO that if the tag is on an item, it could been handmade or donated from a corporate client or clothing brand because it’s old stock or surplus.
