Police say they are investigating after reports of armed men entering a house in Co Down, leaving three people needing hospital treatment.
Two men and a women suffered a 'terrifying ordeal' in Northern Ireland when armed men entered a home on Saturday night, police have said. Officers said the trio are recovering from head injuries after reports of an 'altercation' in a residential street in Newtownards, in Co Down. 'Police received a report at approximately 10.25pm on Saturday evening of an altercation in the Meadow Close area,' a spokesperson said.
'This a terrifying ordeal for those involved,' the spokesperson added. The police investigation is 'under way', they said, to figure out exactly what happened, a motive, and who was involved. As part of their investigation, police are urging any witnesses to come forward and speak to officers.
