The odds of Colin Farrell becoming the next James Bond have more than halved
Hot off the back of his recent Oscar nomination, Irish star Colin Farrell has had his odds on becoming the next Bond shaken and stirred from 100/1 to 33/1 with BoyleSports.
Despite the odds being slashed, former Superman star Henry Cavill remains the favourite to play 007 at 1/4 followed by James Norton at 7/2. Previous favourite Idris Elba has been removed from the betting after he confirmed in Dubai at the World Government Summit that he would not play the role.If Farrell is chosen to play the role of Ian Fleming’s famed British spy he would become the second Irish actor to play the part.
“It will take some extra Irish charm though to beat the likes of Henry Cavill and James Norton who head the betting.”
