“Saturday, I’m told, presented his staff choices during his 2nd interview on Wednesday,” Schultz tweeted. “Irsay has not sat in on most interviews.” The Colts are entering a pivotal offseason after a 4-12-1 season that featured a midseason firing of Frank Reich — whoas their new head coach — and stunning pivot to Saturday, who didn’t have any professional coaching experience and was working as a television analyst at ESPN. They don’t have a long-term answer at quarterback and have shuffled veterans Philip Rivers, Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan at quarterback the last three seasons.
Some Colts fans, though, hope it’ll be a coach other than Saturday contributing to team’s draft plans and philosophies moving forward.
