Enya was contacted through Instagram and says, 'I thought it was a scam because he had no profile picture!'
Comedian Enya Martin thought she was being scammed when she was approached by bosses to host her own radio show.
“I actually wanted to do a PLC course in radio but when I went to the interview I was told that they didn't think radio was ‘my thing’. That was ten years ago and now I have my own show.” “I had a lot of jobs, I worked in Xtravision, pubs and different offices but I never liked the idea of working for someone else,” Enya explained.“I always loved drama in school and I was never shy so once social media came along I thought, ‘Well I make my friends and my family laugh, let’s see if I can make people who don’t know me laugh too’.”
“I laughed and said no way, I’d rather hide behind the camera. But it was only five minutes - which is absolutely nothing now - I did it and really enjoyed it so slowly started building things up from there.
