Being a primary school teacher often entails more than what it says on the tin. Although the role involves teaching our children, it also includes the suppliance of emotional/social support and guidance, among other things. O and let’s not forget… Patience!
Often around Christmas time our children head off to the classroom carrying a giftbag of appreciation for their teacher. Gone are the days of leaving an apple on the teacher’s desk, as the years go on gifts are becoming more extravagant, often varying from boxes of chocolates to gift sets to shopping vouchers.
He posted a picture on Instagram, wearing a Santa hat in a classroom holding an abundance of teacher gifts. He accompanied the image with the joking caption “When I grow up, I want to be a schoolteacher”.
