George Winters, 48, vanished from Dalry on Sunday evening and is believed to have travelled in his car to Greenock
Police say they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for a man who disappeared after getting a takeaway.
The 48-year-old is believed to have then travelled in his car - a grey Peugeot 307 Sport, registration SH56 UPG - to Greenock and parked at the Inverclyde town's Esplanade. Inspector Michael Cowan said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace George. This is out of character and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare. We are asking anyone who may have seen George or know where he is to get in touch.
