Conor McGregor has asserted that he has secured a role in the upcoming revival of the popular Irish crime drama 'Love/Hate', scheduled for release in 2026. John Connors, a returning cast member, confirmed the show's return during an interview, though RTE has denied any plans for a new series. McGregor's claim, supported by his friendship with Connors, suggests potential legitimacy.

The hit RTE show came to an end in 2014 and during its five season run received critical acclaim and was a launch pad for actors such as Barry Keoghan, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Ruth Negga, and Robert Sheehan. John Connors, who also starred in the show, broke the news of the show's surprise return. Appearing on the Six O'Clock Show, he said: "It is coming back. It's going into production later this year. It will be out next year. It's an exclusive, but I wasn't meant to say it till tomorrow.McGregor claimed he would act in the show, saying, "Ireland, I am very happy and excited to announce that I have now accepted a role in the returning "Love/Hate" series.
McGregor made his acting debut last year in Doug Liman's Road House, where he starred alongside Hollywood A-lister Jake Gyllenhaal. An RTÉ spokesperson said: "There are no plans for a new series of Love/Hate. Fans can watch all five series on RTÉ Player." However, an announcement will be made tomorrow if Connors is to be believed.
