Former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor hasn't fight in the last year. But despite that, he has still made plenty of headlines and maintained his position as one of the biggest stars in combat sports.
Conor McGregor had an interesting 2022, despite never stepping inside the cage for a fight - or even confirming a comeback date.
He also howled at the moon in the Dominican Republic in another strange video while filming the remake of Road House with Jake Gyllenhaal. But perhaps the strangest one of all was a video on his yacht that had some fans convinced he had shared footage of himself receiving oral sex. The video was quickly deleted, but many fans recorded it first and posted it on Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.
3. Floyd Mayweather rematch McGregor suffered a severe injury to his leg in the summer of last year, and could be keen to return with a boxing match as opposed to jumping straight into MMA. The majority of his combat training this past 12 months has taken place in Crumlin Boxing Club, not SBG Ireland, and he appears to be interested in getting in the ring again.
