, the Irish UFC star took to Twitter on Tuesday to unveil a trailer for the show. In the clip, McGregor talks about breaking his ankle during a 2021 fight with Dustin Poirier, an injury he says he thought was a career-ender."Part of me is thinking, Jesus, imagine it was just taken from me like that. I would be a different person and it was a bit scary to be honest," he explains.
However, he then adds:"But it's McGregor forever. That's it, isn't it? Like, it's done. It's McGregor forever and don't you forget it." In a Tweet discussing the project back in 2021, McGregor - who is also set to make his film acting debut soon in a remake of classic '80s action flick - confirmed that he was executive producing a Netflix documentary and that he was contractually locked into four one-hour-long episodes.On Tuesday, however, he said of the series:"You heard it here first. My brand new documentary series McGregor Forever is coming to Netflix on 17 May. The only place to hear my true story, which is only getting started!You heard it here first.
