The advertisement featured a group of female models wearing a crop top and hot pants.

One of Conor McGregor’s alcohol businesses had to remove an advertisement that “objectified female models” following a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority .

The complaints committee found that while it did not consider the advertisement implied consumption of the product would make the drinker more attractive, they did consider that it was an irresponsible manner in which to depict women. This complaint was one of 18 that was recently found to be in breach of the Advertising Standards Authority Code. Jesters Casio received two complaints for using an image of Santa Claus playing a slot machine in an ad that appeared on Dublin Bus.

The complainants said that claiming Irish dairy is sustainable is misleading, with one complainant highlighting that dairy farming accounted for 35% of Ireland’s GHG emissions. In response, Bord Bia said that sustainability is about more than just the environment and that it must also consider “agriculture and nutrition balanced social, economic and environmental priorities”.
