The UFC legend's return is expected to take place in early 2024.
Conor McGregor's eagerly anticipated return to the UFC looks to have taken a step closer as he has revealed he's been accepted back into the USADA drugs testing pool.
UFC fighters are required to undertake drugs testing on a regular basis and ahead of fights. The United States Anti-Doping Agency are the body that oversees drugs testing in the UFC with fighters risking lengthy bans and fines if they test positive. McGregor is expected to return to competitive UFC action in early 2024 when he takes on Michael Chandler. He hasn't taken to the Octagon since suffering a serious leg injury in his infamous loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021.One of the reasons it has taken so long for the Dubliner to return is the fact he removed himself from the USADA pool after his leg break. UFC rules state that fighters must be in the pool at least dix months before a fight.
