Antonio Conte reveals he 'underestimated' his surgery as he remains in Italy to recover
But it appears the Italian may have returned too soon after his surgical procedure and will now recover in his homeland while assistant Cristian Stellini once again oversees first team duties.on Thursday which read: “Following a routine post-operation check in Italy yesterday, Antonio Conte will remain at his family home to recover from his recent surgery.
“Sadly I underestimated the procedure, which wasn’t a routine operation but a sudden and serious emergency. My body has suffered my impatience, and now I am forced to stop until my entire recovery.
Conte returned to work just nine days after undergoing surgery after initially complaining of severe abdominal pain.
