A police officer is believed to have been attacked before a man sped off in a car - sparking a chase. Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a 'disturbance' at a property on Mainwood Road in Timperley, Trafford, at around noon on Wednesday .
The man then sped off in another vehicle. Cops chased him, before stopping him on Simonsway in neighbouring Wythenshawe.A 32-year-old was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault; attempted section 18 assault; and dangerous driving. He remained in custody for questioning on Thursday .
