As he croaked his way through his prepared remarks, Theresa May, sitting a few rows back, watched closely, memories of a conference speech she almost didn’t finish surely running through her head.Labour’s message was that Alok Sharma did a great job as president of Cop26, but the PM blew it with “boosterism”, letting the big polluters off the hook and leaving future generations to drown.
