Very sad news afetr the passing of Teddy McCarthy
The news of his untimely death has sent shockwaves through the hurling and football community in Ireland.

Cork famously won the double that year.The Sarsfields and Glanmire club man is survived by his wife Oonagh, sons Cian and Niall, and daughter, Sinead.
He is also survived by his brothers, Pat and Denis, and sisters Breda, Philly and Mary. The Cork icon is pre-deceased by another brother, Michael and sister, Ellen.He had stints with club sides, including Sarsfields. He was named as a selector for Cork senior football management set-up in 2007 before joining the hurlers a year later as part of Gerald McCarthy's back room team.
Teddy was appointed manager of the Laois senior hurling team for a three-year term, but he left the role after just one year in charge.READ MORE
