Rebel boss Pat Ryan is sweating on the fitness of key forward with tough ties against Waterford and Clare to come.
Shane Kingson has been sidelined with a hamstring problem in a blow to Cork’s Munster Championship chances.
The Rebels face Waterford at Walsh Park in 12 days’ time and are at home to Clare seven days later before having a fortnight’s break to their next game. Flying forward Kingston , who made his Cork debut as an 18 year old, is now a major doubt for the opening two rounds.“ kind of a one and a half but it’s the tendon so it might be a little longer,” he said. “I’m hoping three weeks or so.“Unfortunately, I was in the same situation last year. I got through all the League, all of pre-season, first session before Championship I pulled my hamstring and I’ve done it now again.
