A fire broke out at the Sarsfield Court Industrial Estate in Cork, destroying five waste collection trucks and a car. Cork City Fire Brigade responded quickly and contained the blaze before it spread to nearby industrial units. No injuries were reported. Gardaí are investigating the cause of the fire.

Gardai and fire services were called into action on Saturday after several waste collection trucks and a car were destroyed in a large fire which broke out at an industrial estate in Cork .

It is understood that five waste collection trucks and a car which had been parked close to the facility were destroyed in the blaze. No injuries have been reported. Alongside the photos, the Fire Brigade wrote in a message shared on social media: "We currently have 6 units dealing with a commercial fire in Glanmire, please use caution in the area."
