Electronic artist died in his native Cork following a ‘short illness’, a social media statement said
A message was posted on his social media channels saying he had died in Cork on Sunday. He frequently played shows across the UK and Europe and was partially based in Iceland. He also performed in supports slots for acts including Bell X1, Bon Iver and Dermot Kennedy. French later spent time in Iceland working with INNI, an independent music publisher and record label based in Reykjavík.
